How It Works

How V1 Marketplace Works

V1 Auction Marketplace is a pilot driven platform for buying and selling aircraft of all types. Our marketplace model ensures transactions with full disclosure, creating open and honest experience for both buyers and sellers.

Each listing is posted with detailed information on our Market Place platform, including a comprehensive photo gallery and thoroughly documented logbooks. This helps ensure successful and informed bidding. Every listing also includes a Q & A enhancing bidder confidence and understanding.

Buyers are encouraged to contact V1 Marketplace directly if they wish to coordinate a visual inspection or ask the seller questions. Our team facilitates direct communication for a smooth experience.

Marketplace Process

The process begins with sellers submitting their aircraft for sale. Our dedicated Marketplace Specialists then help sellers to determine an accurate market value, set a competitive reserve, and compile all available documentation digitally. This includes logbooks, airworthiness records, aircraft history, and professional-quality images and videos. We will follow Savvy Aviation prebuy guidelines as closely as possible.

Once prepared, the aircraft listing is posted on our marketplace site, providing complete and full disclosure of information for potential buyers. The marketing period typically lasts 4 weeks, during which we maximize listing exposure across all available online advertising sites to reach qualified buyers. Listings generally run for 7-14 days. After the winning bid is secured, the transaction is transferred to a secure escrow closing process that completes smoothly, ensuring the aircraft is picked up in an expedited amount of time.

What Makes V1 Marketplace Different

  • Full Disclosure Listings. We provide all available documentation, including logbooks, airworthiness records, and historical profiles, complemented by high-quality images and videos. This detailed profile is accessible on our marketplace to registered bidders. All aircraft get a thorough and professional downloadable spec sheet. When possible, on-boarding process will include the Savvy prebuy checklist items that were completed, such as engine borescope, compression checks and oil analysis. We do this to provide buyers with the most confidence when bidding.
  • Personalized Support with Marketplace Specialists. Every seller and buyer, if desired, are assigned a dedicated Marketplace Specialist who guides them through the on-boarding, pricing expectations, bidding, closing and delivery.  We have the expertise to ensure each client has bespoke and personalized experience.
  • Question and Answers for Each Listing. Each listing features a dedicated Q & A where buyers and sellers can learn more about the aircraft, to build a comprehensive understanding for all participants.
  • Sniper Protection. To ensure fair bidding, our platform extends the bidding clock by five minutes whenever a bid is placed within the final minutes.
  • A Successful Sale. A winning bid above the reserve triggers an automatic connection between the buyer and seller through a secure third-party escrow service, ensuring a smooth transaction.

Aircraft Pickup

Winning bidders can typically arrange aircraft pickup within a week or less following the sale’s close.

Submitting an Aircraft for Sale

To submit an aircraft, simply visit our submission page. A Marketplace Specialist will respond within one business day to begin the process.

How Bidding Works

To place a bid, you must create a user profile and submit a refundable deposit.

All bidders are pre-qualified with either a wire transfer or similar deposit before participating. Deposits are refunded directly to non-winning bidders within a few days of the sale closing.  All refund will be return directly to the account from which they were received.

Sniper protection extends the bidding clock by five minutes if a bid is placed in the final minute to ensure fair competition.

We encourage all bidders to carefully review the listing, comment section, and terms and conditions before placing a bid. Conducting due diligence ensures a clear understanding of the aircraft’s condition and insights from the community.

Post-Sale Process

A successful sale occurs when the winning bid exceeds the reserve, or the listing is posted without a reserve. The buyer and seller are then connected through a third-party escrow company to securely complete the transaction.

The buyer and seller coordinate closely with the escrow company to finalize the sale and arrange for aircraft pickup. Buyers are typically responsible for costs such as ferrying, taxes, and registration fees. Our Marketplace Specialists are available to assist with any questions throughout this process.

If the reserve is not met, V1 Marketplace will actively work with bidders to facilitate a potential sale even after the listing concludes.
